Legislature of the Virgin Islands Public Notice The Committee of the Whole has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the University of the Virgin Islands, Great Hall, St. Croix. The committee will hear the following Zoning Request application: Michael and Veronica Boyce, Zoning Map No. SCZ-8, Zoning Application No. ZAC-19-4 - Petition of Michael and Veronica Boyce requesting that Parcel No. 2 (Consolidated) Estate Coakley Bay, East End Quarter ”B“, St. Croix be rezoned from R-2 (Residential-Low Density-One and Two Family) to R-3 (Residential-Medium Density). Proposed Use: A mixed-use development consisting of residential units for mainly homeownership, but some would be rentals. And accessory business uses such as restaurant, retail, laundry, and offices. Angela Henry, Zoning Map No. SCZ-12, Zoning Application No. ZAC-20-1 - Petition of Angela Henry requesting that Plot No. 94-F Estate Diamond, Queen Quarter, St. Croix be rezoned from R-2 (Residential-Low Density-One and Two Family) to B-3 (Business-Scattered). The purpose of the request is to allow for a mixed-use development. Proposed Use: A two-story building that would have medical offices on the first floor and residences on the second floor. Proposed Use: Business uses - past requests have been for a restaurant and a car wash. The Legislature has also scheduled a Committee of the Whole for Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the Cleone Henrietta Creque Legislative Conference Room, St. John. The committee will hear the following Zoning Request applications: Ophelia A. Torres & Victor Torres, Jr., Zoning Map No. SJZ-1, Zoning Application No. ZAJ-19-2 - Petition of Ophelia A. Torres and Victor Torres, Jr. requesting a use variance to the R-1 (Residential-Low Density) zoned Plot No. 6 Estate Adrian, No. 18 Cruz Bay Quarter, St. John. Proposed Use: To redevelop the property for an assisted living facility. Shipwreck Partners, LLC, Zoning Map No. SJZ-4, Zoning Application No. ZAJ-19-3 - Petition of Shipwreck Partners, LLC (Steven Hogroian, Esq., authorized agent) is requesting that Parcel Nos. 34-B and 34 Remainder Estate Freeman's Ground, No. 8A Coral Bay Quarter, St. John be rezoned from R-2 (Residential-Low Density-One and Two Family) to B-2 (Business Secondary/Neighborhood). Proposed Use: To continue the business uses with zoning conformity. Mr. Brian Smith, Zoning Map No. SJZ-1, Zoning Application No. ZAJ-20-1 - Petition of Brian A Smith requesting that Parcel No. 6D Estate Adrian, No. 18 Cruz Bay Quarter, St. John be rezoned from R-1 (Residential-Low Density) to B-1 (Business-Central Business District). Proposed Use: The development of a restaurant, bar, and vendors' plaza.
