Carpet Emporium opens in Havensight

Carpet Emporium, a 1,000-square-foot gallery of Persian, Turkish and Nepalese rugs, is located at the southern end of the West Indian Co.'s Havensight dock, adjacent to Paradise Gate. Those in attendance were treated to complimentary wine and champagne, along with a lecture on the finer points of traditional and tribal rugs by Gungorer and a belly-dancing performance. Carpet Emporium is owned by Ben Yehuda of New York in cooperation with Diamonds International.
