Christian Dulington Soto

Services will be held on Wednes-day and Friday for Christian Duling-ton Soto, 16, also known as "Papa," of Oswald Harris Court housing community, who died on Sept. 10, 2008.

The first viewing will be on St. Croix at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with services following at 10:30 a.m.

The second viewing will be held on St. Thomas at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with services following at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Western Cemetery.

Austin Clendinen

Services will be held on Thursday for Austin Clendinen, also known as "Sonny," "Boilie," "Sundown" and "Cleno," 71, of No. 298 Hospital Ground, St. Thomas, who died on Sept. 16, 2008, at his residence

The viewing will be held at 10 a.m. at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with services following at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Kingshill Cemetery.

He is survived by his soulmate, Estrelda Schulterbrandt Petersen; daughters, Arlene Sheila Clendinen and retired U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Audrey Abbott; brothers, retired U.S Army Sgt. Major Monroe Clendinen Jr., Ejnar Clendenen and Emile Clendenen; brother-in-law, Frank McNamara; sisters, Anna Clendenen Thompson and Sheryl Christian; sisters-in-law, Bernice and Clara Clendinen; grandchildren, Daija Dothard, Ali Christensen and Jaylah Ross; special cousin, Verna Garcia; special friends, the Capehart family, the Schulterbrandt family and the McNamara family; other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.

Arrangements are by James Memorial Funeral Home and Davis Funeral Home.

Elma Maduro-Gumbs

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathderal for Elma Maduro-Gumbs, who died on Aug. 22, 2008, in New York City.

She was cremated. She was a devoted and dedicated nurse at the Knud Hansen Hospital where she was employed for several years.

She is survived by daughters, Juliet Gumbs and Emily Gumbs; son, Lt. Joseph Gumbs; brother, attorney John Maduro; and many nieces and nephews to numerous to mention.
