St. Thomas
Charged: third-degree assault
Martin Hoaf, 45, of Cruz Bay, St. John was arrested at 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday and charged with third-degree assault. Police said he kicked another man. Bail was set at $25,000.
Charged: simple assault
Willis Pinney II, 26, of Lovenlund, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault and battery, destruction of property and resisting arrest.
Police said he assaulted a woman and destroyed a phone. At his advice-of-rights hearing Wednesday, V.I. Superior Court Magistrate Judge Alan Smith dismissed the destruction of property charge, reduced the aggravated assault and battery count to simple assault and upheld the charge of resisting arrest. Smith allowed the defendant to be released on $1,000 unsecured bond. Pinney's arraignment is set for Nov. 5.
Charged: grand larceny
Kenroy Sylvester, 21, of Cecelia Gade, was arrested 12:47 a.m. Wednesday and charged with grand larceny. Police said he was found removing parts from a vehicle without permission from the owner. Bail was set at $35,000.
At his advice-of-rights hearing Wednesday, V.I. Superior Court Magistrate Judge Alan Smith allowed Sylvester to be released on $5,000 unsecured bond. Sylvester will be arraigned Nov. 5.

Charged: third-degree assault
Ibrahim Yousef, 26, of Carlton Condominiums, was arrested at 9 p.m. Tuesday and charged with third-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a crime.
Police said he was arrested in connection with an incident at Mountain Gas Station.
Bail was set at $25,000.
