Charged: simple assault
and battery
Nakishma Watkins, 25, of Watergut Homes housing community was arrested at 7:20 p.m. Friday and charged with simple assault and battery-domestic violence.
Police said she was arrested in connection with an incident that took place in the vicinity of JFK housing community. No bail was set.
Charged: unauthorized
possession of a firearm
Akil Joseph, 23, of Estate Mon Bijou was arrested at 8:58 p.m. Saturday and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm. Bail was set at $25,000.
Charged: simple possession of a controlled substance
Olivier Ducrot, 43, of Estate Two Brothers was arrested at 11:14 p.m. Saturday and charged with simple possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,000.
Charged: possession with intent to distribute
Novelle Watts, 35, of Campo Rico, and Jose Luis Pesante, 21, of Estate Whim, were arrested at 12:08 a.m. Sunday and each charged with drug possession with intent to distribute.
Police said they were arrested in connection with an incident that took place in Campo Rico. Bail was set at $10,000 for each suspect.
Charged: driving
under the influence
Gonzalo Rivera, 43, of Estate Richmond was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Sunday and charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving. His license was taken in lieu of the $1,000 bail.
Charged: mayhem
George Hermon, 69, of Estate Upper Love was arrested at 8:11 p.m. Sunday and charged with mayhem-domestic violence. No bail was set.
Charged: aggravated second-degree rape
Kareem Espinosa, 30, of WIM Hodge housing community was arrested at 12:05 p.m. Saturday and charged with aggravated second-degree rape and child abuse. Police said he was arrested in connection to an incident that took place on July 9 on King Street, Frederiksted. Bail was set at $100,000.
