St. Croix residents can get creative and express themselves with a Paint & Brunch event Sunday starting at 1 p.m. at CHOPS Bar and Grill in Sunny Isle.

Artist Eliana Brown will provide instruction while chef Sean Skerrette will provide an array of brunch options.

With 2,400 square feet of space, the restaurant has no problem socially distancing participants. Each artist will be seated at their own table, set six feet apart. Booths are also an option, which have plexiglass dividing them.

“You can be in your own oasis, keeping separate, but still doing something,” said owner Sana Joseph Smith. “Painting is a de-stresser. With the Paint & Brunch, we can allow some sense of normality without risking it, and channel some of that stress and frustration.”

The $65 fee includes two glasses of sangria or two mimosas, brunch and painting supplies. While Paint & Brunch events at CHOP usually accept 30 to 50 people, the event will be limited to 20 people to make sure they are properly spread out. Make reservations by email at
