Jehovah’s Witnesses attend the first convention in Frederiksted, which was held in Spanish on Sunday.

Jehovah’s Witnesses invite all to attend this year’s convention this weekend and the next at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 23C North Carlton Road, Frederiksted, St. Croix. The first convention started Friday and runs through Sunday. The second one is July 28 to 30. The program starts at 9:30 a.m. each day and ends at 4:50 p.m.

The convention theme is “Don;t Give Up!” said spokesperson Willmar Acevedo. The Bible-based program will include talks and interviews and intermedia presentations that will show how both the Bible and nature teach lessons about how to endure. Each afternoon, attendees will follow the story of a family who learns why Jesus said: “Remember the wife of Lot”, through the presentation of a feature film.
