The USVI Hotel and Tourism Association Education and Training Committee awarded a $2,500 Lorette Resch Scholarship to Omaira Rachid during a ceremony last week. Rachid plans to attend the University of the Virgin Islands, majoring in Hotel Management and minoring in Marketing.

“I would personally like to thank the Hotel and Tourism Association for seeing me as a rewarding candidate for the Lorette Resch Scholarship as that industry is where I see myself in the future. This scholarship means a lot to me, and I hope I can further my successful endeavors within this industry and surround myself with the people who make it a gravitating industry,” said Rachid.
