4 VI Girls, Inc. recently donated a much-needed geriatric chair to the Queen Louise Home for the Aged on St. Thomas, delivering on their promise made in December. The chair was custom made to meet the specific requirements of bed-ridden patients at the home. With this chair, they will have the opportunity to be a part of the general area and socialize with other patients, family and staff. While it took almost six months for the chair to be delivered, it was well received and greatly anticipated. 4 V.I. Girls, Inc. partners Colette White-Amaro, from left at left, Tara Lewis-McFarlane and Tricia Sealey present the chair to Director of Resident Services Ernie Pennyfeather.

4 VI Girls’ “ChristMAS in Paradise” is a family event that revisits a past cultural tradition where revelers meet at 4 a.m. on Christmas morning and tramp to Emancipation Garden, where they participate in the Challenge of the Carols. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from this event are donated to charitable organizations within the community. The Boys and Girls Club of St. Thomas received its donation in January.
