Epstein barge

A barge that serves Little St. James and Great St. James continues to operate after the death of Jeffrey Epstein. His estate is warning that unless liens are lifted, it will no longer be able to pay for upkeep on his properties.

In letters to V.I. Attorney General Denise George, attorneys for the a victims’ compensation fund and Jeffrey Epstein’s estate both seek to move forward despite objections by George.

In a letter Tuesday, the administrator of a proposed compensation fund for victims of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein pushed back against George, who is opposing the plan to provide an alternative to litigation. Meanwhile, estate attorney Christopher Kroblin said in another letter to George that checks for exterminators and other basic maintenance services are going to start bouncing if she doesn’t lift liens filed as part of a separate civil case.
