Virgin Islanders are warned to be on alert and prepare for the possibility of an earthquake similar to the violent tremors that have been wreaking havoc in Puerto Rico.

Another 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck the island’s southern coast at 9 a.m. Saturday, and the V.I. Territorial Emergency Management Agency issued a statement later in the day.
