ST. THOMAS — The sight of federal investigators at the now fire-damaged Royal Dane Mall in Charlotte Amalie is not exactly an indication that arson is suspected.

According to V.I. Fire Service Director Daryl George Sr., members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ National Response Team are on-island because they requested to be here, to assist in investigating the July 4 fire.
