Records Bureau to close for training

The V.I. Police Department’s Central Records Bureau will be closed Aug. 4.

Personnel will be attending training in an effort to improve service. The offices will resume regular operations on Aug. 5.

Public Finance Authority cancels meeting

The V.I. Public Finance Authority will not hold its scheduled board of directors meeting today.

Learn from Home deadline is Friday

The Virgin Islands Department of Education is accepting applications for its Learn from Home distance learning option through Friday.

The program is only available to students enrolled in public schools.

Additionally, parents are no longer required to submit a signed form from a licensed physician confirming underlying health conditions of students registering for the program.

The application can be accessed from on the department’s website, www.vide.vi, through the “For Families” link at the top of the page, and by clicking the “Reopening of School Plan” tab.

Parents preferring “Learn from School,” the department’s learning option that offers a hybrid of on-campus and distance learning for school year 2020-2021, are not required to complete an online application.
