ST. THOMAS — Persistent equipment problems at the St. Thomas Cadastral Division of the Lieutenant Governor’s Office have been causing headaches for the private sector and government employees alike.

Real estate agents, surveyors and others dependent on the office’s services — including printing property maps — say the office has long suffered technical inefficiencies that slow down the pace of multimillion-dollar business deals and hamper the territory’s economic development.
