ST. CROIX — Motorists can expect the traffic light at the Castle Burke intersection, which has been out since August, to be fully operational as early as this week, according to a Public Works Department official.

The traffic signals have not worked since a vehicle crashed into a nearby controller box and the power meter’s main pedestal on Aug. 26, leaving both “completely destroyed,” said Renee Exius, the department’s public information officer.
