Epstein letter to UVI

A 2004 letter from Jeffrey Epstein’s attorney, Paul Hoffman, regarding a $7,500 check to UVI.

ST. THOMAS — A second organization is trying to determine what happened to a check from Jeffrey Epstein that’s referenced in documents filed with the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources.

Epstein, a multimillionaire who following a conviction registered in 2008 as a sex offender, sent a $7,500 check to the University of the Virgin Islands in 2004 “to protect coral reefs” after officials cited him for destroying slow-growing hard corals with illegal construction on Little St. James island, according to a letter on file with DPNR.
