ST. THOMAS — After deliberating for less than a day, jurors in the long-awaited retrial of three former Schneider Hospital executives found the men guilty of 44 criminal charges, including racketeering and embezzlement of more than $3 million.

“I am in awe of the work that you have done,” V.I. Superior Court Judge Michael Dunston told jurors, who spent nearly six weeks hearing testimony from dozens of witnesses. “The community owes you a debt of gratitude.”
