The Housing Finance Authority is inviting the public to attend housing expos today, on St. Thomas, at Tutu Park Mall; and June 22, on St. Croix, at the Sunny Isle Amphitheater.
Both expos will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The expos are intended to be a one-stop shop for homeowners or potential homeowners seeking information becoming a homeowner, and will offer products and services to help residents maintain and upgrade their homes.
Exhibitors will include bank/mortgage lenders, hardware and building suppliers, contractors, developers, real estate agents, homeowners insurance companies, landscapers and solar and green product vendors, according to the Housing Finance Authority.
The expos will also offer guidance from agencies that will host seminars throughout the day to discuss hurricane resiliency.
Homeowners will get advice on strengthening roofs, doorways, solar panels, downspouts, windows and other building guidance from Federal Emergency Management Agency mitigation specialists and staff from the Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery program.
There will be door prizes, free raffles every hour on the hour, entertainment and food for purchase.
