The company contracted to operate slot machines at the territory’s racetracks has the right to intervene “at all stages” of a federal lawsuit filed by Southland Gaming against the Virgin Islands government, according to U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Ruth Miller.

Southland Gaming filed suit against the government in December, claiming legislation authorizing the operation of slot machines by VIGL Operations LLC violates Southland’s exclusive right to operate Video Lottery Terminals.
