A St. Croix man was charged Friday with raping a 10-year-old girl, according to V.I. Police Department spokesman Glen Dratte.

Ryheim Moncherry, 19, was charged with first-degree aggravated rape and first-degree unlawful sexual contact — domestic violence. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice-of-rights hearing.

Dratte said Moncherry was arrested after a woman reported that he had raped a 10-year-old child on Jan. 9.
