ST. THOMAS — Major declines in coral are expected in Hull Bay as a mysterious — and so far, incurable — coral disease has taken root at the popular St. Thomas locale.

The disease, Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease, or SCTLD, affects 22 different types of coral, and has irreversible effects that can spread rapidly and potentially devastate entire ecosystems.
