ST. THOMAS — Medicinal cannabis may be legal now in the Virgin Islands, but its cultivation, sale and use are still largely hazy to residents eager to jump on board.

Shedding light on the issue Thursday was V.I. Agriculture Commissioner nominee Positive Nelson, who, as a senator, spearheaded the bill to legalize medical marijuana in the territory — and who now sits in a position to oversee its implementation.
