ST. THOMAS — Concern, frustration and even a little anger shot through a packed town hall event Wednesday at Charlotte Amalie High School, where parents of students impacted by a sudden school relocation plan demanded reassurance as much as answers.

V.I. Education Commissioner Racquel Berry-Benjamin and Stefan Jurgen, St. Thomas-St. John insular superintendent, spoke on behalf of the Education Department, and attempted to assuage fears by ensuring that CAHS — along with Addelita Cancryn Junior High School and Lockhart Elementary School — may not look or feel the same, but will open as scheduled with safety in mind.
