Detectives are investigating after a shooting early Sunday morning on St. Croix, according to V.I. Police spokesman Toby Derima.

The incident occurred at around 2:10 a.m. when police responded to a report of shots fired near Grove Place, Derima said in a news release.

The complainant told police that as he drove through the area, he heard what he believed to be gunfire.

“Once out of the area, he inspected his vehicle, and found some damage,” Derima said. “The complainant was not hurt.”

Officers responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate. No arrests have been made.
