Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to sentence St. Croix child rapist Gilroy Elcock to 45 years in prison, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court.

“The nature and circumstances of the offense are heinous,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Rhonda Williams-Henry wrote in a sentencing memorandum filed Tuesday, saying that Elcock “showed no concern for the girls and how his selfish, predatory behavior would impact these children for years to come.”
