The Finance Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in Ottley Legislative Hall on St. Thomas to consider the fiscal year 2019 budget:
9 a.m. — V.I. Port Authority.
11 a.m. — Casino Control Commission.
The 32nd Legislature will convene a legislative session at 10 a.m. in Ottley Legislative Hall on St. Thomas to consider bills, resolutions, zoning application requests and nominations.
The Homeland Security, Justice and Public Safety Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in Ottley Legislative Hall to consider bills regarding expungement of criminal records; a bill relating to the V.I. Emergency Management Plan and the V.I. Territorial Management and Homeland Security Council; and a bill expanding the powers and duties of the Peace Officers Standards and Training Council. The committee also will get an update from the Motor Vehicles Bureau on the REAL ID system and a report from the V.I. Port Authority about a $1.4 million fine .
The Workforce Development, Consumer Affairs and Culture Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. in Ottley Legislative Hall to hear reports from the territory’s Carnival committees. The committee also will consider a bill to establish a Festivals Division within the V.I. Tourism Department and a bill limiting employers’ use of criminal records .
