ST. THOMAS — V.I. lawmakers unanimously voted to subpoena the leadership of the V.I. Water and Power Authority and Public Services Commission on Tuesday, as the utility continues to face mounting pressure over its high rates and unreliable service.

During legislative session on St. Thomas, Sen. Kenneth Gittens made the motion to subpoena the executive leadership team of the utility, as well as its executive board members, and all members of the Public Services Commission, to appear for a Committee of the Whole hearing within 45 days.
