A St. Croix man brought cash and condoms to what he thought was a meeting with a father and his 14-year-old daughter, but was instead arrested by federal agents conducting a child sex trafficking sting, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court.

The court records showed that Rashead Gerard was charged with sex trafficking of children by force, fraud, or coercion, as well as coercion and entitlement. He is scheduled to appear at a hearing today on St. Croix to determine whether he should be released on bond while awaiting trial.
