Central High School

The campus of St. Croix Central High School is expected to be quiet, but potentially stinky, today as officials from multiple government agencies search for the source of an odor that has disrupted classes.

St. Croix Central High School closed early — yet again — on Monday after an elusive gaseous odor returned to campus.

As efforts to identify the source of the odor prove fruitless, including a full-scale effort to flush nearby sewer lines and unclog manholes, the school will remain closed today, and leave Central High students facing a sixth consecutive school day of disrupted classes.
