Participants walk through downtown Frederiksted at last year’s Take Back the Night event on St. Croix. Marches will be held Thursday on St. Croix and St. Thomas.

ST. CROIX — In just a matter of days, residents across the territory will join millions across the nation for the annual “Take Back the Night” silent march and candlelight vigil.

Observations are being held Thursday in Christiansted, St. Croix, and Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, to remember the many people who have lost their lives to domestic violence. The events will also remember those still living in unstable domestic situations and those who found the courage to escape abusive situations.
