Reggae fans around the globe are mourning the death of Vaughn Benjamin, who sought to inspire enlightenment and unity through his music with the bands Midnite and Akae Beka.

“He left a great, great impact. I think this is one of the most heartfelt passing of any artist in these times, with the level of respect and honor that he tread the earth with,” said Delyno “Pressure Busspipe” Brown, 38, who described Benjamin as “a teacher, and a motivator” early in his own music career.
