Counterfeit vape pods hard to spot

Virgin Islanders are being warned to immediately stop using vaping devices until further notice, after government officials said Thursday they’re cracking down on counterfeit products that have caused at least two deaths.

Dr. Esther Ellis, epidemiologist for the V.I. Health Department, said there have been 354 possible cases of vaping-related illnesses reported in 29 states and the territories.
