V.I. voters will hit the polls today for a primary election unlike any other, with face masks, social distancing and a whole lot of hand sanitizer keeping the public’s most sacred right intact.

Due to COVID-19, the V.I. Elections System has put in place health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of voters and poll workers. V.I. Supervisor of Elections Caroline Fawkes said voters must comply with the protocols, which include masks or facial coverings; hand sanitizer before entry; temperature screening; and six-feet of social distancing.
