The family of Carol Richardson regrets to announce her passing this past Monday at her home on Water island.

Carol was born in Philadelphia and attended school in New Jersey. She was a longtime resident of the Virgin Islands and raised her family both on St. Thomas and Water Island. Her career on island was highlighted by positions at Copy Cat where she worked with her mother June, the U.S. Department of the Interior, and H. Stern.

Carol was a gifted artist and especially enjoyed pursuing her art in retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grove Richardson, and is survived by her father and stepmother Donald and Klara Comninos; siblings, Lee Comninos, Heidi Schaub and Nicholas Comninos; son, Robert Molard and wife Sarah; and grandson, Conrad and companion Fernando Tovar.

Carol loved animals and cared for many during her lifetime. If anyone should desire, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of St. Thomas County, 4406 Weymouth Rhymer Hwy, St. Thomas, USVI 00802. A celebration of life for Carol will be held Sunday, March 24, at 10:30 a.m. on Honeymoon Beach, Water Island.
