Ivan L. George

We regret to announce the passing of Ivan L. George, who died Sept. 21, 2020, at the age of 83

He was survived by his wife, Judith M. George; son, Gregory George; adoted son, Vernon George; sisters, Bernice Simeon, Yvonne George, Clarice Tyson, Orlean George, Jamice George; brothers, Victor A. George, Lulin George; sister-in-law, Alison Williams; godchildren, Juanita Joseph, Sheron Johnson and Demitri Joseph; and nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 9 to 10 a.m., with services immediately following at 10 a.m. at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. Interment is at Eastern Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family respectfully requests that all attendees adhere to social distancing guidelines and all other safety rules.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services.

Paul John

Relatives and friends are advised of the passing of Paul John, also known as “Papi John” or “GoGo.” of Frydenhoj, who died on Sept. 10, 2020 at Schneider Regional Medical Center at the age of 82.

Paul John is survived by his wife Veronique John; daughters Judith John and Juliet Thomas; son Roland John; sisters Wilma Lewis and Catherine Alexander; brothers James and Joseph “Lou” John; son-in-law Carl Thomas; grandchildren Eric Fontaine, Christina John, Aaliyah John, Brianna John, Amelia John, Keona Thomas, and Roland “RJ” John. Jr.; nieces Janet Lewis, Catherine and Zetma John, Hyacinth Joseph, Vinca St. Luce, Melicent Thomas, Juelina Alexander, Daisy John, Esther John, Moleen John and Jessica John

Nephews: Stephen Lewis, Vincent Grell, Sebastien and Jean-Louis Thomas, Leonard, Natham and Tyrone Fregiste, Joseph John, David John, Thompson, Augustus “Alex” Jr., and Jensen Alexander, Ison John, Nelson John, Jeffo John, Andy John, Alex John, Jeam-Luc John, Cloudy John; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral services of the late Paul John will be held on Friday, Oct. 9 at the Celestial Chapel-Hurley Funeral Home.

The viewing will begin at 9 a.m. with the service following, immediately, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.

Due to the global pandemic, coronavirus (COVID-19), and public health guidance, masks or facial coverings must be worn at all gatherings.
