The memorial service will be held for Rudolph “Randy” E. Wells Sr., on July 3, 2019, at 10 a.m. at the Mount Zion Church of God, 394A-1 Anna’s Retreat, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

The fine man passed away at peace in Puerto Rico due to complications of heart and kidney failure at Hima San Pablo Hospital in Bayamon at noon. He was born Dec. 12, 1924, and passed on to the heavenly angels on June 13, 2019.

Mr. Wells has been a proud serving member of his community for the last 94 years on earth. Rudolph Wells Sr. was better known to many as Capt. “Cap” Randy Wells. He captained many ships and boats --- the Water Island Ferry, and the Big Flamingo, etc.

Randy trained many young captains throughout the islands, using his knowledge of the islands gained through his many voyages. This hardworking man also was a taxi driver for many years.

He had a loving, fruitful, and long life with his wife, Eileen I. Wells, which lasted for 36 years.

He was born on the island of St. John, and resided on St. Thomas. Surviving him are his lovely wife, Eileen Wells; son, Rudolph Wells Jr.; three daughters, Debra Wells (Ferimina Wells and Leola Wells, both deceased); four stepchildren, Neal Trotman, Delta Trotman, Dale Trotman, Natalie Trotman (Hodge); 21 grandchildren (2 deceased); six great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.

Rudolph E. Wells Sr., a great man, will be remembered and missed by many.
