Relatives and friends are advised of the passing of Sylvanita R. Thomas, also known as “Chick,” who passed away May 2, 2019, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., at the age of 75.

Sylvanita R. Thomas was preceded in death by her mother, Leah Callwood Thomas; father, Uraldo Thomas; stepfather, Ethelbert Thomas; and sister, Doris Lindquist.

She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Donadelle Wright, Joycelyn Greaux-Phillips (Eric), Jasmin Greaux, Jennifer Greaux-Gist (Phillip), Joraine Greaux, Dwayne Ottley, and Giovanni Hamm; grandchildren, Hartley Ramsey II, Jaynelle Donadelle, Wynette Wright, Ashley Wright-Clark, Wytrina Wright, Calvit Hodge Jr., Le’Kwan Gregory, Gabriel, Jordana, Dominque Greaux-Gist, Khiry Ventura, Kamari Greaux, and Jahkwan Edwards; siblings, Bernice Rogers, Rena Thomas, Beulah Thomas, Bernette Thomas, Beryl Thomas, Byron Thomas and Brent Thomas; aunts, Lucia Penn, Rosetta Rabsatt (special aunt), Gretchen Thomas; nieces, Cora Cranston, Cheryl Moore, Nicole Thompson, Dionne Thomas, Dornelle Thomas, Kanisha Malone, Ifueko Akenbor, and Osato Akenbor; nephews, Kelvin Ottley, Melvin Ottley, Byron Henry, Darell Thomas, Adula Meyers, Michael Thomas, and Kirk Thomas; special cousins, Milton Frett, Marilyn Jennings, Maureen Richardson, Wayne Callwood; and special friends, Eleanor Francis, Ernest Richardson, Jean Howard, Doris Smalls, Margaret Ottley, and Beulah Daniels.
