Construction efforts at the Medical Simulation Center on St. Croix are slated to be supplemented by $14.1 million grant from the U.S Economic Development Administration.

The proposed University of the Virgin Islands medical school dream got some interesting news recently with an infusion of more than $28 million in grants from the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

The dream is a big one for the Virgin Islands. Trauma operating rooms, surgical skills labs, training rooms and an auditorium with open atrium all sound wonderful. This money, and other grants, is to allow construction on the school to proceed.
