A teak tree (Tectona grandis) grows at the Anna’s Hope arboretum on St. Croix.

The Anna’s Hope Agricultural Experiment Station on St. Croix was known for its research in crops, grasses and livestock, with a large section developed into an arboretum.

An arboretum is a place where many varieties of trees are collected from around the world and grown for research and education, thus creating an outdoor exhibition.
