ST. THOMAS — Cincinnati head coach John Brennan had seen this happen before — the Bearcats blowing a big lead and having to play overtime.

But unlike the last time, Cincinnati did something about it, bouncing back in the extra period for an 81-77 victory over Valparaiso on Monday night in the third-place game of the Paradise Jam tournament at the University of the Virgin Islands’ Sports and Fitness Center.
