ST. CROIX — Some say shooters are born while other say shooters are made through hard work and dedication. According to Malcolm Farrington it’s a little bit of both and a belief his shot is always going in. A former Virgin Islands junior national team member, Farrington will take his sure fire brand of outside shooting to Arkansas State University.
“I am as pure a shooter as they come,” said the 6-foot-3 guard. “But overlooked is that I am also a great facilitator and decision maker. I spend countless hours in the gym, and work daily on repetitions and the mechanics of my handles and my shot. The details of squaring up and releasing with rotation and follow through. There’s a lot of gym time involved when developing a great form and release, and my dad taught me how to shoot from the feet up.”
