ST. THOMAS — University of Texas at Arlington’s women’s basketball team came out swinging against Oregon in their Paradise Jam tournament game.

But the Ducks showed why they’re the nation’s No. 1 team, recovering quickly and pulling away for a 91-54 victory over the Lady Mavericks on Friday at the University of the Virgin Islands’ Sports and Fitness Center.
