Paradise Jam Summer Tour

Abilene Christian’s Hayden Howell, center, comes down with a rebound against British Virgin Islands All-Stars’ Revaughn Spruve, right, during the second half of Wednesday’s scrimmage in the Paradise Jam Summer Tour, a men’s college basketball exhibition series taking place at the University of the Virgin Islands’ Sports and Fitness Center on St. Thomas.

ST. THOMAS — Tyler Sharpe scored at the buzzer to lift Northern Kentucky to a 85-84 victory over the U.S. Virgin Islands All-Stars on Wednesday night in the opening day of the Paradise Jam Summer Tour college basketball exhibition series.

With the All-Stars inbounding after a Norse basket, Sharpe — a 6-foot senior guard — stripped the ball from USVI’s Jeremiah James and drove for a layup, with the ball dropping in the basket just as the horn sounded at the University of the Virgin Islands’ Sports and Fitness Center.
