ST. THOMAS — University of the Virgin Islands head coach Jeff Jones has been waiting and wondering when some of his younger players would finally adapt to the demands of college basketball.

That finally happened Saturday night, as the Buccaneers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 59-58 victory over Rust College in front of nearly 1,000 fans at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center.
