The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce presents the second in the Ask Them Yourself series tonight with speaker Larry Kupfer from WAPA upstairs at Brew STX on the Christiansted boardwalk, St. Croix at 7:30.
Myett’s Chill Zone in the Tortola Pier Park will hold a reopening celebration tonight from 5 to midnight, featuring DJ Don Melo and Saturday with DJ Don Melo and a live performance by VI Elite.
Foxy’s Tamarind Bar on Jost Van Dyke will host a Hemp and Cannabis Festival Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight with a day of conscious music, arts and crafts, food, speakers and discussions on the legalization debate in the British Virgin Islands. The event is free and open to the public.
The Rotary Club of Virgin Gorda will host a board of directors installation ceremony from 3 to 5 p.m. at CocoMaya. The celebration will feature special drinks and foods, live entertainment, raffles, fun games and lots of giveaways.
The St. John Land Conservancy will hold a Haulover Beach cleanup starting at from 9 to 10 a.m. A light breakfast will be offered starting at 8:30 at Skinny Legs in Coral Bay. Coffee, water, orange juice and bags will be provided. Bring a water bottle, and gloves. Snorkeling will follow for those interested.
Bubbles and brunch

The St. Croix Environmental Association hosts a Southgate volunteer day to plant trees at the Southgate Coastal Reserve. Bring your own water bottle, sun protection and closed shoes. Meet at the parking area in the north end of the driveway.
The University of the Virgin Islands would like input from the community for the development of its 2018-2023 Strategic Plan, “Greatness through Innovation.” The sessions will afford the Virgin Islands community an opportunity to discuss and share innovative ideas on how to advance UVI. Meetings will be held Monday at the Administration and Conference Center, first floor, room 142 from 6 to 8 p.m. on the St. Thomas campus, Wednesday at the Albert A. Sheen campus on St. Croix in the Great Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the St. John Legislative Annex from 6 to 8 p.m.
Lemartec USVI, Inc., in association with Virgin Islands Port Authority, is hosting a Construction and Subcontractor Outreach and Job Fair at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center on the St. Thomas campus from 9 a.m. until noon. Lemartec is the prime construction manager for the emergency engineering and construction management services contract with VIPA. They are seeking to partner with U.S. Virgin Islands subcontractors for site, civil, mechanical, electrical, concrete, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, doors, windows, pipeline and more.
